The Research Group on Lipidomics (Groupe d'Etude et de Recherche en Lipidomique, GERLI) is one of the 19 thematic groups of the French Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (Société Française de Biochimie et Biologie Moléculaire, SFBBM).

Its aim is to assemble the community of lipidologists at an annual conference organised around topics changing from year to year but sufficiently general to concern all specialist fields, from chemistry to all domains of biology, including their applications.

The GERLI was created to enable the encounter of diverse specialists speaking the language of lipidology for a complementary exchange of views.

The Gerli has a Scientific Advisory Board responsible for supervising the scientific programme of the annual conference, organised by a member of the group, and for the award of a thesis prize each year, the laureate presenting his or her work at the conference.
