Welcome to the 20th GERLI International Lipid Meeting in Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace and Europe in the heart of the Rhine Valley at the crossroads of France, Germany, and Switzerland. This highly anticipated event in the lipid biosciences community will bring together leading researchers to discuss the latest advancements in lipid biology in various organisms.
A large diversity of topics will be covered including Advanced Approaches for Lipid Research, Lipid Cellular Functions, Lipids in Autophagy, Membrane Biophysics and Membrane Contact Sites, and Lipids in Metabolism and Cancer. Of note, a session dedicated to Lipids and brain has been set up in collaboration with the SFEL society. Last minute hot topics in lipid sciences will also be included from the submitted abstracts !
GERLI society is keen to announce the Opening of the meeting with a lecture by Prof. Russell DeBose-Boyd, from UT Southwestern Medical Center, Houston, entitled ‘Lipid sensing pathways in cholesterol metabolism’.
As always, GERLI is keen to promote young scientists, therefore the meeting will be an opportunity for short-talk and poster awards, and the awardees of the GERLI2025 thesis prize will present their work in a dedicated session.
The meeting will take place from Monday November 3rd to Wednesday November 5th 2025 at the conference center of the CCI campus Alsace in Strasbourg.
